Personalized genomic testing (PGT) reporting preferences among over 2,500 individuals and healthcare providers (HCPs): Healthy individuals deem medical risk factors as the most important reason to pursue genetic testing

  • Study to understand motivations, preferences for results and concerns about personalized genomic testing among 2,500 healthy individuals and HCPs
  • We found that > 47% of  healthy individuals are generally concerned about their health and interested in genomic testing.
  • 85% of healthy individuals ranked personal medical risks for disease (cancer, cardio, etc)  as the most important category of interest.
  • >90% of HCPs ranked carriers status and personal medical risks as the primary reasons for testing among their patients.
