The impact of model systems on the characterization of disease genes

  • This webinar will review the work of the International Mouse Phenotyping Consortium (IMPC), which has the overarching goal of generating a null mutation for each gene in the mammalian genome and determining the phenotype for each line. Because roughly on third of the genes have proven essential to life, we will describe the results of our analysis of these phenotypes and the implication for human disease gene discovery. In addition, we will highlight the portal that disseminates these data, and ways the user can interact with the IMPC. Finally, we will present a vision for future applications of the pipeline, including high-throughput modeling of disease variants.

    Webinar CEU

Only the live session qualifies for CEUs but when possible, we host the recordings on our website and NSGC recommends participants to use their personal email instead of work email addresses to ensure they receive their CEU certificates.
